Navigating New Heights: Quality Engineering Group's Impact on Umbria's Aerospace Vision

The Quality Engineering and Management Group has recently contributed to the aerospace sector in Umbria by playing a key role in the development of a strategic document aimed at shaping the future of the sector.

The document focuses on three main objectives: Firstly, it seeks to identify and analyse key market and technological trends within the aerospace industry. This involves a thorough examination of current and future developments that are likely to impact on the sector.
Secondly, the document aims to map the companies within the cluster, detailing their economic status, competencies, skills and internal relationships. This comprehensive mapping is critical to understanding the current landscape of the cluster and identifying areas for growth and improvement.
Finally, it outlines strategies for the development of both the cluster itself and the companies within it. These strategies are designed to foster innovation, collaboration and sustainable growth, ensuring that Umbria's aerospace sector remains at the forefront of technological advances and market trends.

The document was recently presented at the Aerospace & Defence Meetings in Turin by Professor Luca Mastrogiacomo, together with key representatives from Regione Umbria and the Umbria Aerospace Cluster. The presentation emphasised the importance of collaboration between academia, industry and government institutions to drive innovation and sustainable development in the aerospace sector.

The involvement of the Quality Engineering and Management Group in this project underlines their commitment to driving progress and excellence in the aerospace industry.

Professor Luca Mastrogiacomo, Dr. Federico Barravecchia, Professor Elisabetta Raguseo, Professor Fiorenzo Franeschini, and Professor Augusto Maisano have all collaborated extensively on the strategic document, each contributing their unique expertise and insights to its development.
